Miguel Espinoza wins Abilene City Council Place 5 runoff election
ABILENE, Texas — Miguel Espinoza has won the Abilene City Council runoff election for Place 5.
Espinoza got 58 percent of the vote compared to 42 percent for McAlister.
In the initial election May 3, neither candidate got fifty percent of the vote.
Previously, incumbent Kyle McAlister got 2,591 votes, Miguel Espinoza got 2,237 votes and Cynthia Alvidrez received 377 votes.
