Ernest Lynch secures At Large 1 seat in McKinney City Council runoff race

Ernest Lynch will join McKinney City Council after securing the At Large 1 seat in a runoff race.
The gist
With all 15 vote centers reporting, Lynch secured 62.64% of the votes cast, totaling 11,852 votes.
Opponent Jim Garrison received 7,070 votes, representing 37.36% of votes cast, according to unofficial voting results from Collin County.
The race saw 18,922 votes cast overall. In Collin County, 29,374 voters turned out to vote in a runoff election. All results are unofficial until canvassed.
