Guadalupe County Judge announces he will not seek re-election

(Seguin) — Guadalupe County Judge Kyle Kutscher announced Tuesday that he will not seek re-election, bringing to a close his tenure as the county’s top elected official. Kutscher has served the county since 2011, one term as county commissioner and the other three as county judge.

In a letter to residents, Kutscher says the decision came “after much reflection and deep consideration” and expressed a desire to allow “someone new the opportunity to serve and continue the important work for Guadalupe County.”

Serving as County Judge, Kutscher wrote, “has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Over the years, we have come together through challenges and triumphs, always with the shared goal of making Guadalupe County a better place for all its residents. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you who entrusted me with the privilege of representing you.”

Kutscher highlighted the accomplishments achieved during his time in office, noting that they were the result of community effort.
