Elon Musk's AI company seeks Seattle-area office space
Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is looking for office space in the Puget Sound area.
Last week, Musk announced on his social media platform X that an “xAI Seattle office (is) opening.” The Palo Alto, California-based company has posted three open roles, with annual salaries ranging from $180,000 to $440,000.
The announcement makes xAI the latest artificial intelligence company headquartered in the Bay Area to add local engineering offices, joining rivals like the Microsoft-backed OpenAI and the Amazon-backed Anthropic.
xAI has narrowed its search for space to the Eastside, according to a commercial real estate industry source familiar with the company's search,though it's unclear how much space the company is seeking or which properties it's eyeing.
