Regardless of what Trump plans to do to our electoral process before 2026, history tells us that elections are THE ONLY NON-VIOLENT WAY to get out of this mess.
Even if Trump suspends elections by lying to the American people about why he might need to suspend them, the fallout from such a blatant constitutional attack may be enough to remove the wool from people’s eyes and create massive defections from the MAGA cult.
Thus, we must organize around the 2026 elections, and since Wisconsin just voted to keep a progressive majority in our state’s Supreme Court, we should see the “un-gerrymandering" of Wisconsin’s Congressional maps this year. Our maps have been rigged for over a decade, and our current Wisconsin Congressional delegation includes 6 Republicans and only 2 Democrats. This lopsidedness can only be explained by rigged electoral maps because our statewide electorate is split down the middle and Democrats consistently win statewide elections (Governor, Senator, Supreme Court).
The two most flippable districts are CD3 that comprises Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Stevens Point; and CD1 that includes Kenosha, Racine, Janesville, and Beloit. For this reason, we’re helping spread the word in these districts that current Republican Congressmen Derrick Van Orden and Bryan Steil have been told NOT TO HOLD town hall meetings during the current Congressional recess.
