(16,993 posts)They hate government and everything it stands for. They're doing all they can to undermine, corrupt, and destroy it.
They only thing about government they don't have an objection to is taking a pay check from it, benefits, and perks, and being able to funnel money to their cronies.
How is it that almost everyone who leaves Congress leaves a millionaire? Some weren't millionaires when they first got elected, and they sure didn't do it on the salary they receive. How is it that so many become millionaires while in Congress?

The oath "support and defend the constitution..." No wonder the GOP wasn't there. They are embarrassed (not) that they have not followed the oath that they all took.
