I recall the first trip from reading Dreams From My Father. It was funny when he got there and someone said oh you are from the US. My nephew is there at the University of Texas. And the guy thought Obama might know his nephew!

4. What a thrill it must be to those relatives

to follow his career. Since they lived so far away and did not get to see him so much, but then could hear of him because he's a Senator and writes a book. And then he gets elected POTUS. Amazing.

he comes and visits before and during his time as POTUS! What a loving sweetheart.
