Good article on Clinton's email issue

I've thought this was a major root of the problem for quite awhile. The government/State department needs to take a good look at the guidelines governing the communication and sending of documents using 21st century technology.

I have said much the same thing on DU (based on my own firsthand experience at the US DoS) and been pooh-poohed by those here on DU who staunchly asserted I didn't know what I was talking about - either on the merits or on the law. So far as I know none was either someone who had actually worked at the US DoS or was an attorney. I did and am (or at least was, since technically I am now retired).

Of course, there will likely be attempts to shoot this down on DU by the same numbskull instant legal "experts." But it's nice to see it posted here anyway.
