Dow Jones Futures Rise After Big Trump Tariff News For Apple, Techs

Dow Jones futures rose Sunday evening, along with S&P 500 futures and especially Nasdaq futures. President Donald Trump is largely exempting the Apple (AAPL) iPhone and tech products from Nvidia, Dell and many others from massive tariffs. But Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Sunday that those exemptions are temporary, with Trump himself signaling the same.

If they focused first on S&P 500, they would raise the intelligence and knowledge of their viewers/readers. But of course the readers/viewers are not the customer. They are the product. Advertisers are the customers.

Hence slapdash slack coverage of Biden then Harris then tRump.

Of course there was real damage to investors who dumped their stock investments, and Treasuries fell, and small and mid-caps are still way underwater. Personally I doubt they'll bounce much this year. There's just too much damage and lingering uncertainty. If this is the way the investment game has changed under Trump II, a lot of people are going to edge out and sit for awhile. Foreign funds have held up a bit better.
