Subject: sorry i missed our appointment
Description: I am desolate after the election. I feel like there's no point in even
TRYING to finish school at my age. If they dissolve the Dept of Education,
it's over.

I cannot see a way forward.I am 55, disabled, and useless.
All my dreams are ash.

Im sorry, but I seriously dont know what will happen now....

I know it's unprofessional, etc...but I seriously want to know if my college is prepared to lose financial aid students... cuz they are all screwed. I go to ASU. (AZ)

You may need your degree to survive.

We must be smart right now and not emotional.
Our lives depend upon it.

2. my dgeree was going to be in Anthropology...

there's nothing in Trump's world for that... I was hoping to work in the NAGPRA realm, helping repatriate Native People's remains etc... none of that will be a thing in the coming Admin.

3. You are allowed to be upset, but then you must get calm and focused.

We do not know what will happen to any of us under an autocratic corrupt regime.

Go and talk to your advisor. Get their opinion about various career options in your field.
Develop Plans A, B, C.
Work on several plans to have a fall back plan.

If you are able to identify and work with human remains there will always be a high demand
for this skill.

The military, police, etc.
And with climate change and natural disasters this will also be needed.
