Global Panic Spreads - Joe Blogs

In this video I talk about PANIC that has started in the automotive sector as a result of the restriction in supply of rare earth magnets from China. These magnets are in a wide variety of applications in vehicles and are therefore critical to the production process. China controls 90% of the global market and in response to the trade war with the USA has restricted supply. These magnets are also used in various other industries such as defense and energy and this issue has the potential to cause chaos for the Global Economy in 2025.

Then again, I'm a Luddite who drove wrecks and never minded crank windows, keyed entry, and stick shifts.

and in a few others, I'm afraid. I know each generation says it, but this newest generation of "stuff" is less about saving time as it is about advancing personal politics. Technology as politics. Damn!
