Boys in the Band

That was a really impressive show. Never having seen much by Jim Parsons, I was totally blown away. His transition was incredible to watch and I sure would not want him focusing his anger on me - those eyes! Just excellent!!

It was very "playlike" for a movie. I don't mean stagebound so much as full of well-written dialogue that the actors really enjoyed performing, like this sort of thing was the reason they became actors. In that way, it reminds me of the film versions of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and A Lion in Winter. Everyone brought their A-game but Parsons was a revelation.

"talky." My brother loves plays so when I recommend a film of that genre I think he would like, I say it is talky.
