Mr X has Barrett Esophagus. He's seeing the PA who ordered the test in July. I'm assuming if it was cancer or pre-cancer, they'd have contacted him sooner than a July appointment. His patient portal result just said BE
Today, I feel like I'm jumping out off my skin. Even took Xanax.

(35,472 posts)Hiatal hernia. That is what I had that caused the Barretts. Got to the point I was having heartburn from drinking water. Was taking lots of Tums. Like I said before that was 30 years ago.
Make sure he stays away from onions and garlic. Its now over the counter, but Omeprazole is my life saver. Get some and have him take it every morning now. If I forget to take it, I know because I get heartburn by noon.
Hope this helps and I know everyone is
different.
In the meantime dont make any spicy food and dont eat after dinner time.
Helps to focus on what you can do, rather the unknown future.
