Related: About this forumI'm pretty non functional, today
I made the HUGE mistake of looking at a new page and almost immediately shut down.
I was forced to temporarily function because I had to head out to pick up two of my prescriptions. Fortunately I haven't lost that talent of putting on a sane face.
I've got plenty of garden work to do but all I want to do is sleep. Maybe I'll try to do some, later this afternoon. Maybe not. I hate feeling like this. Fortunately the kid cats are doing their best to distract me. Especially Merlin. I finally found him a terrific Wizard's collar but he somehow ditched it so I'll be going on a hunt, later on.

(110,700 posts)I have decided to reimmerse in music from years past and find that Pink Floyd's music is not only deeply apropos to what we are living through now, but very easy to fully immerse in the full album (e.g., Dark Side of the Moon or others) without a thought to anything else. Especially with headphones.
That and walking my aging "pup" are getting me through thus far.
Be kind to yourselves.

Don't give up because there are good times, then there are bad times, and then there are good times again!! Change is the miracle!

Thanks to this DU family that give us so much support!

I had a rough tme sleeping last night, hot/cold and mind racing...But when I woke up today I was determined to see it as a "reset" and just go back to doing my home and office stuff, let the rest take care of itself for a day at least. So maybe giveyourself today to fall apart if need be...and tomorrow hold the promise of shifting it.
HUUUUGGGGSSS!!!!

(32,144 posts)That helps me. Today, I cleaned up the storm door and the inside door. I washed the windows on those doors. I washed sheets and vacuumed the floor in the laundry room. I put some folded clothes away. It was only a little, but it made me feel better because I accomplished something.
