16. It looks like things will be okay.

There was a heavy band of rain that passed through between 2:15 and 4:00 this morning. As I thought that we would make it through unscathed the power went out for about four hours. Fortunately I'm on the high side of town, there are two churches where a lot of activity is organized, an assisted living center and about 200 apartments in my complex so we were considered a high priority for having electricity restored.

Another heavy band of showers is passing through Wharton shortly so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any further problems.

6. Chronic illness sucks.

New symptoms, more tests. Off for x-rays and blood work later today.
Needless to say, stress, depression, and anxiety have all spiked. *sigh*

8. i'm damn good.

i am grateful every day when i take that little blue and yellow pill that i dont have to live in the pit of despair any more.
i sure wish i had known more about the genes i was passing on before i made 5 copies, tho. watching them wade through this stuff, and being the face of their pits of despair is the lowest part of my existence.

but otherwise, life is pretty good.
