Later this morning, I'm planning on a bowl of the bean soup and buttered toast, hot tea.

1. Coffee at the moment.

Did you add any meat to the bean soup like ham hock or smoked turkey.

2. I put some cut up Bahama Mama sausage in it, a locally made spicy German style sausage in it

It is a spicy beef & pork mix. I added it the last 2 hours of simmer time.

Has to be quick because this is garden clean out day. Three classes of middle schoolers an hour from 8 am to 3.

Granola with pumpkin seed and a Bartlett pear.
