(2,112 posts)Well
a vegan version. Recipe calls for a bottle of Guinness, which I didnt have, so I subbed half a bottle of raspberry wind that had gone flat. Not quite the earthiness I was going for, but I also added a bag of diced Quorn (fake chikn) so it probably doesnt count as Irish stew at this point anyway.
I actually started this last night in the IP, then realized Id forgotten to close the vent so it wasnt cooking under pressure. Went back two hours later and hardly any of the veg had cooked. I was also going to grill a PB sandwich for dunking purposes, but found we were out of PB. End result is its been percolating all day and *now* we have groceries in the house and dinner can begin.
Just about to serve it up (yes, its 10 pm
) but my taste test tells me its going to be pretty good. Sure ought to be since those flavours have been coming together for over 24 hours. Derp.

La Coliniere
(1,977 posts)Steam-fried onions, red and yellow bell peppers, sliced zucchini, minced garlic and mushrooms. Homemade marinara, kidney beans, chopped fresh basil and chickpea rotini completed the dish. Vegan parm on top. Cheers!🥂

Im trying out all the different brands.
La Coliniere
(1,977 posts)Very tasty and more fiber than regular processed wheat pasta. We also enjoy red lentil pasta and pasta infused with pea protein. Aldis frequently carries these products which is surprising.

(17,709 posts)That would be pretty impressive. Dosa ( a kind of lentil pancake) and chickpea curry.

(43,407 posts)I used to find it at this Indian buffet that we would frequently go to. I love Indian food.
I only made my palak paneer one time and I was exhausted from making it. I said never again. The same went for Chinese dumplings. Never doing that again, either.
Since that time I've found places to buy it that do a good job. We have this company called Deep, and it's located in a town fairly close and to which I often have to go on business. This is where I get almost all my Indian food. They have both a restaurant and a store where you can buy entrees and other dishes. Good frozen selection, too.
Here's the restaurant link: https://deepindiankitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/deeprest-MenuBoard-V5-11222022.pdf
But I usually patronize the store. Their naan bread is fantastic, too.
