Does this forum include house plants?

I just recently purchased some succulents and a Christmas Cactus which I believe falls into the same category. I have several questions if that is ok in this forum. If not, can you ell me if there is a special forum for house plants?

Thanks, Susan

A year ago I moved into an apartment that faces north. There is a ground level patio and three windows that face north. One window faces west. I feel like the windows are bright but don't think they get enough light. I want to measure the lumens hoping that will tell me. If I do need aditional light I want to add grow lights. My plants are on a wrought iron shelving unit so I can hang LED lights. I have two 36" bulbs in. What kind would be appropriate for succulents? I know, or think I know, that some manipulation of the lighting is necessary to get the Christmas Cactus to bloom. By it's leaf shape, I believe it is actually a Thanksgiving cactus but that is ok with me. With that plant I want to know about how often they need repotting. This one is rather small, about 5 or 6" across now. I have seen much larger ones so hope it will grow and need transplanting at some point in time.

I moved here from a townhouse with a moderate sized back yard and a large side yard. I had veggie beds and a lot of flower beds. I am going through gardening withdrawal and want as many indoor/patio plants as I can.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you have for me.

Susan
