5. I am amazed that you can thin plants that are so crowded.

I have never had a great deal of success when I have planted very thick. You must have just the right touch.

6. I think the secret is the potting mix, then allowing a few days to allow the seedlings to adjust

before they see the sun...and that they are well watered when they finally do. I plant most everything crowded, and rarely lose a seedling...but using a soilless mix like metromix makes it really possible.

I have never used a soilless mix before. I end up doing a lot of work at the beginning, planting the seeds each separately. But then again, I don't do the numbers that you do.

Do you use tweezers to handle those little seedlings when transplanting? Or is it just gentle hands?
