I have never had a great deal of success when I have planted very thick. You must have just the right touch.

Lovely plants, and glad you have fun with it.

before they see the sun...and that they are well watered when they finally do. I plant most everything crowded, and rarely lose a seedling...but using a soilless mix like metromix makes it really possible.

I have never used a soilless mix before. I end up doing a lot of work at the beginning, planting the seeds each separately. But then again, I don't do the numbers that you do.

Do you use tweezers to handle those little seedlings when transplanting? Or is it just gentle hands?

Still going into the low thirties here at night, but they are tantalizing us with a promise of a SEVENTY degree day a week from Wednesday!
