What is this?

Neighbor/landlord growing it in his kitchen garden, adjacent to my cottage. He also has herbs, and likely will have tomatoes later. He's very kind, and shares!

but he's gone for the weekend. He's here almost as sporadically as I am.

He did tell me, a while ago, that he/they had 'old' potatoes, unharvested, somewhere, but its a big property, and I don't know where they are. I did post a pic of their asparagus. gone to seed, recently.

Only down-side: They're the most fun to harvest, but he's got triplets who probably will do that part!
