I'm in a toxic relationship.

In bed I’m reading with Dunc the chonk sprawled out next to me . So I’m laying here and the golden floof was squeaking his lamb then complete silence no more squeak squeak squeak.
Then a golden retriever frustration bratty yap yap barking looking over his shoulder at me as he is laying in bed as to say father we got a big problem.

This asshole dropped his lamb on the floor and wanted me to get out of bed and be the retriever.
I didn’t move and chonk starts the pawing at the blankets. Grunting barking on his side giving big sighs pauses glances at me side eye like come on old man get up get my lamb. Complete tantrum screw you Dunc get your own lamb you golden asshole.

When I used to give my cats wet food, I had to put it in two separate bowls because Holly would push Martini away from the food. I put Holly's bowl on the placemat but as soon as Martini saw the other bowl in my hand, she would take off running, like I was trying to force her to eat poison. I'd tell her "Come back here; I'm not going to chase you" and then I'd chase her all the way upstairs to my bedroom where she wanted to be served like the queen that she is. 👑

She has the "golden" part down cold. The "retriever" part has her a little confused. Mom ends up getting the tennis ball herself. A lot.

Me thinks there must've been a little spoiling going on in your household prior to this latest adventure!

And I love that. Now, be a good hooooman, and FETCH!!!
