I kept up to date with the first Gulf War with Prodigy on my Tandy 1400 LT, which I still have. The info was always a day or two ahead of the printed newspaper. I probably still have the Prodigy 3.5 floppies.

I signed up for Prodigy when I bought my first computer, an IBM PS/2. I jumped into the political forums (this was during the 1992 presidential campaign) and followed the heated discussions. Back then, it was mostly Rush Limbaugh zombies but there was also a large Democratic support group. One of the posters was a guy that would eventually become Bartcop. When Prodigy faded out, we followed him to his site and that's how I ended up finding DU.
