Nonsense
Words fluttering on the twisted breeze
Meaningless chatter full of lies
Spewed forth from the gutter
Untruth, threats, and blackmail
Clothed as truth, a gift of God
By those who have no interest in righteousness
A cast of actors, starving for attention
In curled unreasonable positions
Where tears recycle as smiles
Nonsense
their only gift
How their noise defiles my ears
From those workers of vengeance
Employed as clowns
Makeup and masked faces
Hiding their true identities
The truth, too awful to comprehend
That they are our neighbors
And even our friends
Who exhale the stale air of death
Killing with every breath
Racism, prejudice, hatred
Filling whats left of their hearts
With the cancer of darkness
Willing extermination
Of perceived enemies
Words full of blame, a full lack of love
For their God, for other humans
For life itself
Purge the nonsense from our lives
Seek out truth, cleanse our hearts
Let us live without guilt
As we carry one another
Across the finish line of life
Casting aside the pain
Of living.
