I don't believe the medals podium is where those gestures should be made. But that's just me.

The other Olympic athletes are treating the US team with grace, and the feeling should be mutual from the American athletes. Our team recognizes its place as guests at a foreign competition, and we have no right to hog the limelight.

I should have paid more attention to who and what sport but I thought they said it pretty well. Basically thanking folks for welcoming them to the games despite the political issues and hoping to show that not all Americans are Trumpian jerks. One said he hoped to uphold the values of the America he grew up with and wants to see again. I am sure the Trumpanistas are not happy. Good!

Now if the medalists just refuse the inevitable invitation to the WH later, more the better.

Can't risk offending any corporations and making yourself toxic for any endorsement deals. And, that's not a criticism, I'm just acknowledging reality.

And death threats Can't forget those.
