Went down to the new interchange with US 61/151 and the Arterial today and did some riding around there since it's close to my house. Once the Arterial fully opens up to traffic it'll likely be too busy to be safe, but right now there's not much traffic on there now. Did that plus some of the surrounding roads. Not that many people out there today.

(9,696 posts)Where I ride traffic is a little lighter, but not by as much as I would have expected. A lot of people running to the grocery stores, etc. I'm concerned for two reasons - one that since traffic patterns have changed, cars might not be as alert to bicycles and if there were an accident I would have to go to a hospital - last place I want to be right now.
I live in the city, there are nice hills in the residential neighborhoods, but no where to ride except streets.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
