49ers first-round pick Mykel Williams is out for season with torn ACL, suffered in Week 9 at FUCKING METLIFE STADIUM.
As the San Francisco 49ers feared, an MRI on Monday reportedly confirmed that first-round draft pick Mykel Williams is out for the remainder of this season with a torn ACL, according to ESPN. After the Niners took Williams with the No. 11 pick overall in the 2025 NFL draft, he started all nine games as a primary defensive end with inside-out potential in the trenches.
With eight games left in the regular season, Williams (knee/ACL) is the third defensive starter to suffer a season-ending injury, joining perennial All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) and former AP Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa (knee/ACL).
This means the Niners have now lost both of their starters at defensive end, a position already thinned by injury on the 6-3 49ers.

Do some to most veterans learn, over time, how to play "safer" on A.T.?
