MetLife Stadium racks up another torn ACL

49ers first-round pick Mykel Williams is out for season with torn ACL, suffered in Week 9 at FUCKING METLIFE STADIUM.

As the San Francisco 49ers feared, an MRI on Monday reportedly confirmed that first-round draft pick Mykel Williams is out for the remainder of this season with a torn ACL, according to ESPN. After the Niners took Williams with the No. 11 pick overall in the 2025 NFL draft, he started all nine games as a primary defensive end with inside-out potential in the trenches.

With eight games left in the regular season, Williams (knee/ACL) is the third defensive starter to suffer a season-ending injury, joining perennial All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) and former AP Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa (knee/ACL).

This means the Niners have now lost both of their starters at defensive end, a position already thinned by injury on the 6-3 49ers.

Christian McCaffrey is still thriving! He's the one you'd expect to be most vulnerable with his Achilles heels just ready to pop.

in the number of A.T. injuries afflicting veterans, rookies, and second-year players. Bosa suffered his second-year ACL tear at MetLife.

Do some to most veterans learn, over time, how to play "safer" on A.T.?

but a number of elite athletes from various sports are making trips to Germany for treatment of Achilles injuries. They've got something cooking over there. Whether it's above-board or not, I couldn't tell ya.
