(34,189 posts)5. Iceland also has puffins!
We visited Vigur Island, a boat tour then walking the island, out of Ísafjörður. The puffins there are very accustomed to people - but watch out for the homicidal artic terns that will dive bomb and peck you.
Then we also took a boat tour out of Reykjavík which stayed offshore of an island and gave a great view of puffin burrows. Both had other wildlife and were great fun. I would have liked to spend more time actually touring Iceland but we had other plans. We went in August 2019 while taking the Queen Elizabeth on the way to the UK.

        So much to consider.

Choose wisely.
Don't go back.
And no, you can't come here. It is mine.
