Did you notice more empathy today?

Or maybe just a feeling of a helping hand reaching out? I had several episodes of people going out of their way to help, which is in of itself wonderful and reason to celebrate.

A young man insisted on giving me his seat on the subway even though I said I was alright.

(I always say no thank you or something to that effect when someone offers me a seat. When they offer me a seat, it seems that they think I'm old. I don't consider myself old! I'm just ultra-ripe.)
