Don't really like the new ones much. The quality appears to be going down. Squid Game, The Glory, etc. over the top belaboring their theme. Can South Korean's not make a drama any longer without time travel, magic, and other ridiculous plot devices? I guess it interests children and teenagers. The larger the market becomes the worse the output. 재미없다

Have to admit Crash Landing on You was great. Maybe there are still a few out there. Started watching King the Land (?) seems to be light entertainment (the life of a misunderstood chaebol heir is so trying, another overused theme, rich boy, poor girl). The pervasive materialism is a bore as well. Much of the content produced recently doesn't reflect genuine Korean values in my opinion, but more of an imported emphasis.
