DU Community Help
Related: About this forumThe homepage is displaying two fonts.
Featured stories, on the left, is the regular DU font, but the LBN feed is in a Times or Typewriter kind of font. Not really a problem but buggy nonetheless. I'm viewing on Chrome.
Otherwise, it all looks great! I'm not really sure what the point is of rec'ing posts as they don't rise to the top of the discussion, but it's satisfying to rec good ones!

(22,835 posts)The main font on DU4 is Roboto, a very common modern font. The secondary font is Roboto Slab, a serif font from the same family. We use Roboto Slab for the excerpt boxes in posts on DU. I decided to try it out on the home page in the LBN section, thinking the serif font might give it a bit of visual difference and make it look more "newsy" -- I thought it looked pretty good so I decided to keep it that way. YMMV
Reccing replies will gain functionality as we go forward -- for now, you can see which replies in threads have five or more recommendations by clicking the "RECOMMENDED" button at the top of the reply tree -- that will highlight those replies. But we'll be able to do more with recced replies in future. While we probably won't be able to send recced replies to the top of the reply tree because of the architecture of the DU forum, we will be able to feature them in other ways.

(16,354 posts)I noticed the same thing earlier in the transition to DU4, then, at some point, the size was reduced. Now it's extra large again.
