Need help - I'll try to explain as best I can.

How do I stop notifications from loading on my phone?

I hardly ever use my phone for online purposes but was in another state for a few weeks and wanted to pop into DU for the news. Eventually a little box appeared at the top of a DU page and asked if it's ok for DU to send me notifications - I accepted.

After getting back home I returned to using my laptop for internet access. Within a week or so, I turned on my phone to check the battery and was surprised to see a log-jam of little icons lined up at the top of my phone - where the notifications show up.

I pulled the notification page down and opened the icons one by one - they were all connected to DU threads, presumably sent because I gave the 'ok' for DU to send me notifications - I do not subscribe to any threads or forums.

Question is, how do I stop these notifications from loading onto my phone?

Thanks!

I am using Apple and I go under settings --- Notifications, and turn off all but a few.
On an app by app basis.

There are ones you can't prevent.

"do not disturb mode" only seems to postpone them.

Sometimes, I hate software and the people who specify it.

Long live open source. You can actually change things.

I haven't a clue regarding tech stuff. It's an android - I'll try doing what you suggested.
Thanks!

So, how you handle notifications will be entirely different.

Good luck.
