Have "bookmarks" been disabled? (EDIT: NEVER MIND. I SOLVED IT!)

Last edited Fri Dec 26, 2025, 04:58 PM - Edit history (1)

EDIT TO ADD: Never mind. I solved the mystery. It was an ad-blocker setting.

I cannot find threads I've bookmarked in the past. And the posts that I've added a personal "sticky note" to... they used to be displayed in the "bookmarks" page... but there's nothing there.

I thought it was a useful feature.

Hmmm... maybe it's because I'm in MIRT. There could be a setting or privilege... QueerDuck 6 hrs ago #2
If so, that's a programming issue for the admins. DM Earlg. usonian 5 hrs ago #3

But you might restart the browser (kill/relaunch), or clear cookies in the browser. I have had javascript go a little bomkers at times.

I have mistakenly turned off JavaScript, or gone into private mode. Many people do the latter with a mistaken finger press.

Hope it's user error, cuz program bugs are a pain to fix. Don't ask me how I know.

Good luck.

there may be a bug which is preventing your bookmarks from being displayed, even though they still exist. Unfortunately since it's the holiday period I might not be able to get this fixed immediately, but I'll look into it.

Nice detective work. I have so many extensions in Firefox that I lost track, and expect odd things to happen.

One even solves many captchas. Nice!

I don't need any more of those eye exams!
