Social Consciousness

An interfaith discussion in Occupy Underground:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12526176

The Philadelphia Experiment: How the Quakers support Occupy
- Quakers have a long history of social activism
- - "..social consciousness is a direct perception of the presence of the divine".
- Ken Wilber; A Spirituality of Social Justice
- National Park Service: Women's Rights: Quaker Influence
- - I have known nothing of them and must say that I am both enthused and impressed.

I'm impressed too and wish them the best.

As a side note, Richard Nixon's legendary awkwardness may have stemmed from unresolvable conflict between his Quaker upbringing & his public policy.

Thats my opinion
