While Tennessee football’s top-15 clash against Georgia took the headlines for the day, there was some significant news for the Lady Vols basketball program. Kim Caldwell and her staff sealed the deal and landed the commitment of five-star power forward Oliviyah Edwards. She was on her official visit this weekend.
Edwards, a consensus five-star and the No. 2 player in the class on ESPNW, is wrapping up her official visit on Sunday. This is her second time in Knoxville after she previously took an unofficial visit in January.
She began the process of locking in official visits on July 26, with Tennessee the first school she announced she’ll be visiting. Other schools making pushes for Edwards and who have already hosted her on unofficial visits are USC, South Carolina and Washington. It’s unclear if she still intends to take official visits to other programs despite her commitment.
