And Jasmine Crockett has become a favorite of mine, she's smart, not afraid to speak out and she sure does her homework. I sure wish I could trade her for my national embarrassment of a Rep. - Stefanik.

. You guys here on DU are lucky to the extent that most of you are at least in your sixties/seventies. I am in my late forties and wonder what the future holds wherever one lives without more transparency wrt technocracy of the kind that put Trump back in office.
Though I wonder about posters like Dennis Donovan whom I don’t see anymore who mentioned the heartless GOP cuts would affect them.
I am safely in the Global South and have independent means enough to weather these things without taking on bs jobs. But it’s still alarming for any working age person. It’s like they want to make The Matrix a reality these days. Really stupid people.

Not sure that communicates much but I have been following the technocratic assault on democracy more than the overt dem-republican stuff in the last 15 years.
Who could possibly vote for him, let alone be fine with him overturning the government and democracy?? And deporting immigrants?? Every single one of us, including him, wouldn't be here if not for immigrants taking the chance to find a new life here! They are the reason we became a country to begin with... 
I often think of when he was first running, insulting war hero John McCain and showing his lack of understanding of how this government worked, let alone his lack of knowledge of the Constitution or our history. And I went to a reunion in Vermont - I went to summer camp there growing up and I still consider the friends I made there as some of my best friends. It turns out that we all felt pretty much the same way about how things were going. And I said that I'd sooner vote for the next person who drove by than TFG and they agreed with me. Little did we know how much we would mean that in the future...
