And retired in 1992. Much thought was put into those decisions. No thought whatsoever put into trumps latest vanity purchase. A casual reminder, 58,000+ Americans died in Vietnam. 4. I have mixed reactions about this announcement.

I understand the need to modernize our fleet due to the increase in the number of ships being constructed in China. The aggressive posture they have taken towards their neighbors and in the South China Sea along with today's announcement about loading over 100 ICBMs warrants a build up.

However, I thought that battleships were out of favor because they provide a large expensive target as enemies gained more access to missiles which can be launched from all platforms: land, air, and sea. A ship with Trump branding on it will make it an even more desirable target to sink. I would dread having to take an assignment on anything associated with Trump.
