Breaking: Pam Bondi faces internal revolt - Brian Tyler Cohen

Legal Breakdown episode 651: Prosecutors quit en masse amid ICE agent shooting.

Summary of Legal Breakdown: DOJ Prosecutors Resign Over Minneapolis ICE Shooting

The Incident:
Six federal prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Minnesota, including senior leadership, resigned in protest over the Department of Justice's handling of the fatal shooting of Renee Good, an American citizen killed by ICE agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis.

Key Issues:

- DOJ refuses to investigate the ICE agent involved in the fatal shooting, despite protocol requiring investigation of all officer-involved shootings
- DOJ is attempting to open a criminal investigation into Renee Good's widow, Becca Good, for what appears to be First Amendment-protected conduct (using whistles to alert neighbors about ICE presence)
- Four additional prosecutors from DOJ's Civil Rights Section in Washington DC also resigned after being prohibited from investigating the shooting

Who Resigned:
- Joseph Thompson (number two in the Minnesota office)
- Thomas Calhoun Lopez (chief of violent crimes and major crimes section)
- Four prosecutors from the Civil Rights Section in DC

Analysis:
The commentators argue this represents DOJ being "turned against the American people," with the apparent goal of intimidating lawful protesters and suppressing constitutional rights. Evidence suggests the ICE agent may have violated policy by positioning himself in front of the vehicle, failed to de-escalate, and used deadly force without basis.

Potential Solution:
Minnesota state prosecutors could potentially hire these resigned federal prosecutors to conduct a proper investigation at the state level.

I bet tRump doesn't even know who she is half of the time since he has such terrible dementia.

When tRump said his own "morality" is what rules him he meant to say "mortality" but his severe dementia has made him unable to speak. He confuses the meaning of words, he slurs like he is drunk, he goes off on tangents and is unable to remember what he was saying whether it was 1 minute ago, one day ago, one week ago 1 one month ago.

In another week he'll say Ivanka is Ivana and Melania is Barron and Don and Eric are Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb (wait, he did get that part correct).
