It seems to have left him unable to recognize the current management type of CBS news - which is "Imperial." This is why he was fired for "insubordination." No fault of his, of course. It can be a real shock when good people hit up against this sort of thing for the first time. I've had this experience a few times in my life and I've always had this shock. It never really occurs to me beforehand that people can be this awful... Scott Pelley is a nice person and would never treat someone else this way, so it just doesn't occur to him that he could be treated as a "subject." Sorry Mr. Pelley... they aren't going to change.
