During a Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee hearing on the "affordability agenda" today, Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) references the book of Matthew in the Bible to call out the cruelty and corruption of the Trump administration. "It's a moral abomination," Warnock sternly states.

unlikely that these repubs would open either the new testament or an economics text.
rev sen warnock is a warrior for truth.

I recommend that you watch this in its entirety. Reverend Warnock is as far as I can tell a true Christian and he knows the scripture. Rather than quote from the Old Testament as almost all evangelical Christians will he focuses on the New Testament. As any real, Christian would do.
America will never escape its original sins (slavery and genocide of the native population.) until we admit our moral emptiness and turn to follow men and women with a moral backbone.
