We all know that the public at large, according to the polling data, hates Elon Musk. In fact, he has the highest disapproval rating of any tech CEO, including Zuckerberg or Bezos, who are also not liked, but they're not hated as much as Elon Musk is. He has the lowest approval rating of anybody in Donald Trump's cabinet. And that's a feat of, uh, you know, we never thought we'd see, but here we are. So the public hates Elon Musk. But what about inside Trump's administration, right? Like those people that actually have to deal with him and talk to him on a near daily basis, surely they like him according to a new report from Rolling Stone. No, they don't. In fact, they hate him just as much as the general public does. And they may even hate him more because they have to deal directly with him for some reason.
So, according to Rolling Stone, the people in Trump's orbit, his cabinet officials, um, they not only think that he is unfunny, annoying and irritating, but many of them also think that he is constantly on drugs and should in fact be drug tested. Let me read you this. Musk has nodded at the patience of an array of high ranking administration officials to the point that according to this official and two others, Trump lieutenants have walked out of meetings and earnestly asked one another if they thought Musk was high. Administration officials joked to one another about subjecting Musk to mandatory mandatory drug testing, which Musk himself has said would be a great idea for federal employees, it gets worse. I have been in the same room with Elon and he always tries to be funny and he's not funny. Like at all. A senior official told Rolling Stone, he makes these jokes and little asides and smiles and then looks almost hurt if you don't lap up his humor.
I keep using the word annoying. A lot of people who have to deal with him use that word. So we know that Elon Musk is a self-described guy that has enjoyed ketamine. Uh, whether or not he's on it during these meetings or when he's doing his government work as a special government employee, uh, we don't know, but let's hope he's not. And yes, I don't think drug testing him is a bad idea at all, but it's the I'm funny thing. And what's actually funny about that is we all know that we have seen him on social media. This, you know, little past middle aged man acting like a 14-year-old boy. This is a guy who just a couple months ago changed his Twitter handle to Harry Balls 'cause he thought it was funny. We're talking a guy, what in his fifties? Harry Balls. I'm so funny.
Like, what the hell? Grow the hell up, but he's not gonna, it gets worse. The same official continued the word talking about annoying. Doesn't do the situation justice. Elon just thinks he's smarter than everyone else in the room and acts like it. Even when it's clear he doesn't know what he's talking about. Talking to the guy is sometimes like listening to really rusty nails on a chalkboard. He's just the most irritating person I've ever had to deal with. And that is saying something. Imagine you're in a room and the people you're in the room with are Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Bobby Kennedy Jr. Linda McMahon, Tulsi Gabbard.
