1. Trump truly does not care about legalities. He does what he wants and so far, gets away with it.

We don't seem able to stop him.

I would hate to see Jerome Powell fired.

I suspect that if he is, the outcome will be as Thom Hartmann has described.

2. I certainly agree with you, TFG has rapidly been destroying the government with his antidemocratic actions

And this could do it, though he has no legal right to fire him.

Thom Hartmann is right pretty much all the time because he’s informed and remembers history. I am having some stress over my security as I’m not young anymore and don’t wanna lose what little I have managed to keep. I have a lot of company in this unnecessary position, I know, but I’m afraid it’s not gonna be pretty for anyone. So much for the American dream if things don’t change soon

4. I know exactly what you mean, I'm experiencing this, too.

The worse it gets, the more I wonder why this dissolution of democracy and the rule of law is allowed to go on. Historically, presidents are elected for what they can do for the American people, this incompetent terror has done nothing but exact retribution and place us in danger. How much longer will this be allowed to go on??

5. I wish I knew..chaos and fear is his way to govern and I'd like to be ahead of it, if possible.

Maybe a Golden Girls kinda concept..there were many who did that during war n depressions and lots of families are now under one roof but all pitching in to live better. I live with my cat and would sell my place and relocate if it meant a better way to live with less stress financially and health wise. It would have to be long term..not a temporary fix. Gotta be on the same page politically!!

I have a financial advisor who I inherited from my Dad and I need to see him next week and I'm not looking forward to it. I also have a housemate (and a cat) who I used to work with and I think he's doing pretty well, but he was also laid off a few weeks ago, as were many others, since they're transferring all these jobs to India. He was also the one who told me about DU, so at least that's okay. And tomorrow I'm getting together with a group of female friends who feel the same way, so at least there's that. *sigh*
