This is one of those rulings where one’s stance on the outcome is dependent on one’s current power position. It’s along the likes of politicians’ stance on the Senaywh filibuster. Those who eventually find they’re in the majority discover they are recently opposed to the power granted the minority with the filibuster. Not many pols maintain good faith positions on the filibuster.
