was the way a speech full of controlled anger, sorrow and empathy sounds like. I applaud that mayor.

He was impressive and honestly moved by this tragedy.

As to other political backing and concerns, as far as I know there is NO POLITICIAN who rises to a position of power without backing by this or that moneyed concern. I'd be naieve to think otherwise

The best that can happen is a candidate who comes with a conscience once he or she assumes office.

I will never vote for Frey. He didn't even win the DFL endorsement.
