Kroger, America’s largest supermarket operator with over 2,700 stores, announced a significant restructuring: approximately 60 store closures (2% of its footprint) and nearly 1,000 corporate layoffs over an 18-month period. This is among the chain’s most significant overhauls, reflecting rising costs, shifting demand, and operational pressures.

7. Yes, we certainly do - and a female president in my lifetime as well!

I always wondered if we'd ever have a woman president since other countries have had one decades ago - Golda Meir, Indira Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher, Mary Robinson - Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan! And yet, we still haven't managed to elect one, but is it worth nominating one if that means she'll lose the the most unqualified POS in history?! I remember the first time I first wondered who it might be, and it was long enough ago that my guess was Barbara Boxer... *sigh*
