People who knew TSF wouldn't do business with him. They wouldn't loan him money. They wouldn't let him into their social circles.

TSF hasn't done anything to change the perception: He's bad news, stay away from him.

(Except, he got a tv show and the viewers couldn't separate reality from entertainment.)
