In my neighborhood (Westlake) they've raided the Home Depot where hard working day laborers hang out to get jobs. I hear the helicopters hovering.
And according to Reddit, they've gone to another Home Depot in another party of the city and yet another place just south of DTLA, which is being live streamed on TikTok.
Lots of people in my neighborhood -- in many neighborhoods in LA -- are undocumented and I can't imagine how terrifying this must be for them. I have an elementary school less than 100 yards away where parents, many undocumented, I'm sure, pick up their kids everyday... I'm so worried those parents will be targeted. Or worse, won't show up because ICE has them in custody.
