Their companies don't provide health insurance. Many of the companies keep the workers below 32 hours a week so they don't have to offer it. The CEO of a big restaurant chain bragged about keeping the employees below 32 hours a week to avoid paying for health insurance. That was the last time I ate at the breadstick place.
