3. I knew it. The company my sister runs is a primary example.

This is in north Dallas. They use a lot of cheap immigrant labor,
which they are losing because ICE agents are everywhere.

The owners (who voted for Trump) are really struggling trying
to fill the positions. The ones applying appear to be professionals
who have lost their jobs and are looking for anything they can
find.

They are also dealing with tariffs. My sister runs the company
and is about to retire. They are begging her to stay on, but
she is really ready to leave.

I told her, if she feels she should stay, to insist on working
half-time for full pay.

I don't think this is an isolated incident.
