--all bets are off if those attacking these employees are fired upon.

It would be horrible with repercussions, but ultimately, someone is going to cry SELF-DEFENSE in any violent episode. And a LA jury may well be more than willing to accept that defense--even an all white-one in the event it is a POC on trial. This is such an offense against fairness and democracy.
