In reply to the discussion: Gavin Newsom Reacts to CNN Report That Trump Is Canceling Funding for the State: [View all]Tumbulu
(6,570 posts)20. I have been sharing this idea for a few months now.
We in CA just send our Federal withholding to an escrow account managed by the State of California. Then since it is all about who has the cards Newsom plays hard ball. And TACO will give up and run and hide as he always does.
In fact, there are all these rumors that T is planning on seizing the state anyway. So, this is protective.
Is it illegal- yes- but lets them take it to court and go all the way to the Supreme Court. Make them work for something for a change. I have had it- lets hold our federal money and use it to bargain with the madman.
